The Choir

​The Halton Hills Youth Chorus is a choir for singers age 8 to 18 who love to perform and make music. The 2027 Spring session will begin on Wednesday January 13th and run weekly until the final performance on June 9th. Rehearsals will happen every Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 in The Sanctuary Concert Hall at St. John's United Church in Georgetown. 
Fees for The Halton Hills Youth Chorus

Less than $25 per week! 

$500 includes 19 weeks of rehearsal, one dress rehearsal and the final performance with a live band. That's 21 weeks of music, friends and fun. 

We charge a $30 deposit for music which will be reimbursed at the end of the 21 week session if the music is in good shape with only pencil markings on it when it is returned. 
Auditions

Auditions will take place in The Sanctuary Concert Hall, St. John's United Church in Georgetown on Wednesday evening October 7th, 2026. To audition we would prefer that you sing a selection from the list of songs below (if you choose this option an accompanist will be provided for you) You will be given an audition time after you register.

*On my Own from Les Miserables in D major
(two verses and pre-chorus. End after "there's a way for us")
*Castle on a Cloud from Les Miserables in a minor
*Maybe from Annie in B flat major (first verse only)
*Tomorrow from Annie in F major (One verse into second ending)
*Corner of the Sky from Pippin in C major (first verse and first chorus only)

*Close Every Door to Me from Joseph in f minor (first section only)
*Electricity from Billy Elliot in D major (first verse and first chorus)
*Where is Love from Oliver in C major (no repeats)
*Go the Distance from Hercules in D major (first verse and first chorus)
*Naughty from Matilda the Musical in F major (from "in the slip.." to the end)
*Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid in C major (from "what would I give.." to the end)
*Think of Me from Phantom of the Opera the E flat major section (beginning with "think of me, think of me waking.." to the end, including the cadenza)
*Nel cor piu non mi sento in F major

*Caro mio ben in E flat major
*Homeward Bound in E flat major (verse and chorus)

If you would like to sing a selection of your own choice please bring a track on your phone and your own blue-tooth speaker. Songs must be less than 2 minutes long we will stop you at the 2 minute mark.

You are also welcome to sing Happy Birthday or Oh Canada without accompaniment. 

After a brief chat we may ask you to sing through a few easy scales. (No preparation is required for this.)
April 6th, Easter Monday is the first day to register for your audition!

​The dress code for the final concert will be light jeans and crisp white shirts.  Solos will be chosen by the conductor and based on how well you know your music and how well you are singing in rehearsals.
